
Notes
The adrenal cortex forms a distinct layer of uniform thickness around the irregular adrenal medulla. Blood is delivered to the adrenal through capsular arteries, flows to the medulla through both cortical sinusoids and cortical arterioles, and leaves through the relatively large medullary veins.
