
Notes
The adrenal cortex forms a distinct layer of uniform thickness around the irregular adrenal medulla.
Note the indistinct zonation of the cortex, with cords in the zona fasculata appearing relatively straight and paler, while cells in the zona reticularis appear more intensely eosinophilic.
