Brown fat

Notes
This image shows loose, adipose connective tissue near a kidney.
Brown fat cells, each containing numerous (multilocular) small lipid droplets, occupy the central region of the image. The brown fat is surrounded by ordinary white fat, with each adipocyte containing a single (unilocular) large lipid droplet.
