BLAST

The Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) finds regions of local similarity between sequences. The program compares nucleotide or protein sequences to sequence databases and calculates the statistical significance of matches. BLAST can be used to infer functional and evolutionary relationships between sequences as well as help identify members of gene families.

NIH

National Institute of Health. The nation’s medical research agency.

Yeast Genome Database

Saccharomyces Genome Database or SGDTM is a scientific database of the molecular biology and genetics of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is commonly known as baker's or budding yeast.

Swiss Protein Database

UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot; a curated protein sequence database which strives to provide a high level of annotation (such as the description of the function of a protein, its domains structure, post-translational modifications, variants, etc.), a minimal level of redundancy and high level of integration with other databases

National Center for Research Resources' Yeast Resource Center

NCRR Yeast Resource Center is located at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. The mission of the center is to facilitate the identification and characterization of protein complexes in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. They also provide expertise and access to five advanced technologies viz. mass spectrometry, yeast two-hybrid arrays, deconvolution fluorescence microscopy, protein structure prediction, computational biology.
