The
Laboratory Animal Care and Use Committee (LACUC) oversees
Southern Illinois University School of Medicine's animal
program, facilities and procedures. The committee's scope
includes all research, research training, experimentation
and biological testing involving live, vertebrate animals
conducted at SIU School of Medicine or at another institution
as a consequence of subcontracting by this institution.

Submit the necessary hard copies of protocols to the LACUC office located at 801 N. Rutledge, 2nd Floor, Room 2129 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also submit electronic versions by email to LACUC@siumed.edu. For questions, call the LACUC office at 545-8167. |
