Research Offices

The offices within the Associate Dean for Research specialize in areas that support basic, clinical, and translational research and to assure that research-related activities within the School are conducted in compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.

Research Policies and Guidelines

	The mission of the Center for Clinical Research is to build clinical and translational research infrastructure, capacity, and productivity.			SIU School of Medicine has revitalized its efforts in establishing and promoting its intellectual property rights in research related technologies through the Office of Technology Transfer.
	The ORC's mission is to protect SIU-SOM medical staff and patients from sources of radiation that constitute a significant health hazard.			The Office of Grants and Contracts provides assistance to faculty and staff affiliated with SIU School of Medicine in reviewing grants for submission to external agencies, and review of contracts for the support of research.
