Research Interests: epilepsy, seizures, ion channels, electrophysiology, memory, LTP, synaptic transmission
Techniques and Methodologies: Patch clamp recording in cultured neurons and acute brain slices. Neuronal cell culture. Sharp electrode intracellular recording. Extracellular recording from hippocampal brain slices.  

Equipment:

1. Patch clamp recording apparatus with inverted microscope, for cultured neurons.
2. Patch clamp recording apparatus with upright microscope and IR-DIC optics, for brain slices.
3. Extracellular recording apparatus.
4. Cell culture system.
