Reunion 2016 Information

Friday, June 24

Opening Reception for All Class Years

6:30 – 9:00 p.m.      Island Bay Yacht Club: 76 Yacht Club Road, Springfield, IL

Distinct areas will be established for each class year. Families are welcome to attend. The heated pool will be available for children, weather permitting (pool closes at 8:00PM); a life guard will be on duty. A game area will be organized for children who do not wish to swim, but a parent must accompany the child. Casual dress recommended. Sweaters or light jackets are encouraged due to lake breezes. Reception is compliments of the Office of Alumni Affairs.

Complimentary Shuttle

Let us be the chauffer while you enjoy the Friday night reception with your classmates. Transportation will be provided from the Wyndham Springfield City Centre Hotel to Island Bay Yacht Club. Shuttles will leave the hotel between 6:10 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. from the hotel's main entrance on Adams street. Return shuttles will operate from Island Bay Yacht Club at 8:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Memory Lane Tour
Departure from the newly renovated Medical Library (801 N. Rutledge, 4th Floor)

10:00 - 10:30 a.m.


Visit with classmates while enjoying beverage service prior to the tour.

10:30 - 11:30 a.m.


Walking tour of various points of interest on campus conducted by student ambassadors, Dr. Jerry Kruse, Dean and Provost, Drs. Christopher McDowell ’05 and Jonathan dela Cruz ’06.

Catered lunch provided for $20 per person. Drinks provided by host.

Informal gathering at Arlington's.

Picnic at Cara and Mark Vasconcelles.
Catered lunch provided for $10 per person.  Drinks provided by host.

Class of 1996
Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Picnic at Nicole and Eric Sommer's. Catered lunch and non-alcoholic drinks provided for $12 adults and $6 children (ages 6-12). Children 5 and younger are free. BYOB

Guests may park in the Museum Garage at the corner of Sixth and Madison Streets. Guests pay for their own parking at $1.50 per hour. The parking garage closes at 10:30 p.m.
