Opening Reception for All Class Years

6:30 – 9:30 p.m.      Island Bay Yacht Club: 76 Yacht Club Road, Springfield, IL

Distinct areas will be established for each class year. Families are welcome to attend. The heated pool will be available for children (pool closes at 8:00 p.m.); a life guard will be on duty. A game area will be organized for children who do not wish to swim, but a parent must accompany the child. Casual dress recommended. Sweaters or light jackets are encouraged due to lake breezes. Reception is compliments of the Office of Alumni Affairs.

Complimentary Shuttle

Let us be the chauffer while you enjoy the Friday night reception with your classmates. Transportation will be provided from the President Abraham Lincoln Springfield Double Tree Hotel to Island Bay Yacht Club. Shuttles will leave the hotel between 6:10 – 7:00 p.m. from the hotel 7th Street entrance. Return shuttles will operate from Island Bay Yacht Club at 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Memory Lane Tour
Departure from the newly renovated Medical Library (801 N. Rutledge, 4th Floor)

10:00 - 10:30 a.m.

 

Visit with classmates while enjoying beverage service prior to the tour

10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

 

Walking tour of various points of interest on campus conducted by student ambassadors, Dr. J. Kevin Dorsey ‘78, Dean and Provost, and Dr. Christopher McDowell ‘05

Picnic hosted at Jim and Susan Stegeman’s home.
Food and drinks provided.

Class of 1984/1985
Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Informal gathering at Walnut Street Winery, 309 S. Walnut Street, Rochester. Order from casual fare menu and pay own expenses.

Class of 1990
Noon

Informal gathering at Obed & Isaacs Microbrewery and Eatery, 500 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Order from casual fare menu and pay own expenses.

Class of 1995
Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Picnic hosted at Jim and Lisa Thiele’s home.
Food and drinks provided.

Class of 2000
Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Picnic at Rochester Community Park 90 Wild Rose Lane, Rochester. Catered meal and non-alcoholic drinks provided for $12 adults and $6 children (ages 6-12). Children 5 and younger are free. BYOB

Class of 2005
Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Picnic at Washington Park Pavilion,
1400 Williams Blvd. Food and non-alcoholic drinks provided for $12 adults and $6 children (ages 6-12). Children 5 and younger are free. BYOB
