Biography

Carolyn Hahn Swanson is a Nurse Practitioner, Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  Prior to coming to SIU School of Medicine, Carolyn worked at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, where she managed geriatric hospital inpatients in neuropsychiatry and psychiatry units.  Carolyn maintains a clinical practice, seeing patients and caregivers in the SIU Memory and Aging Clinic and in residential settings, conducts research and presents on dementia, treatment and caregiving issues.
