Message from the Director

Welcome to our website.

Consistent with the mission of SIU School of Medicine, we are dedicated to assisting patients and families who may be affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions through patient care in our Memory and Aging Clinic, education, research, and service to the community.  Consistent with Illinois Public Act 90-0404 (Sec. 4.) that has established us as one of three State Alzheimer’s Disease Assistance Centers, we sponsor a Memory & Aging Network (formerly called our Primary Provider Program) to extend our reach to 35 sites in predominantly rural Illinois.  Additionally we provide training in dementia care, maintain centralized data collection, and sponsor programs of research that qualify for federal financial participation.

The links (tabs) that you see on this page will take you to additional pages that explain the various features of our program.  Please feel free to contact any of us if you wish additional information, if you have questions, or if you have recommendations for us to improve our service.

Thank you for the visit.
