CADRD Educational Mission

The SIU School of Medicine Center for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield is designated by the State of Illinois to serve 93 downstate Illinois counties.

One of the missions of the Center is to provide support and education to healthcare and caregiving professionals as well as patients and family members of those with dementia. Together with our Memory and Aging Network providers SIU CADRD sponsors over 400 educational presentations, training workshops and conferences on the scientific and caregiving aspects of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders each year.
