- Research Objectives
Dr. Rose's research is focused on understanding the basis for age-related impairments in learning and memory. Rats and mice are used in behavioral paradigms to explore different memory systems, with a particular focus on the hippocampus. In addition to studying the effects of normal aging, models of diabetes and Alzheimer's disease are being examined. The ultimate goal is to develop therapies to treat memory disorders.
