Sony DSR-1500 DV-Cam (2)

These two units are used to record the signals to DV tape from external cameras that don't possess internal recorders.

Videonics Firestore (3) and Lacie Drives

These three units are used to turn raw digital streams into files. The Firestore units formats the Lacie drives into FAT32 partitions. The streams are then written to the drives in 9 mninute "chunks". Converting the streams into files while filming speeds the process of loading the video onto the editing station.

LCD Screens (3)

Three screens used to view the video signals from the cameras. This allows us to check the framing and focus of the shots and to monitor the incoming pictures.

Eagle Pan-Tilt Control

The Eagle unit allows remote control for the boom-mounted Hitachi HV D-15. The unit can focus, zoom, move and control the iris on the Hitachi. There are a series of programmable pre-set shots to allow for quick, precise switching between camera shots.

Key West BlackBurst SG-4

This unit sends out a digital to signal to all of the recording devices to synchronize recording. This becomes particularly important when trying to synchronize several camera shots (with audio) to produce DVDs for analysis.
