
The SIU Prostate Center
The purpose of the SIU Prostate Center is to provide comprehensive care for patients with prostate cancer through a multidisciplinary approach. The Prostate Center provides total care for men with prostate cancer or those who are at risk of developing prostate cancer. The center offers screening and diagnosis as well as all contemporary options for treatment. This includes: Open Radical Retropubic Prostatectomy (surgery), Robotic Assisted Laproscopic Prostatectomy (surgery), Cryotherapy (freezing the prostate cancer), Brachytherapy (radiation seed implant), and External Radiation Therapy. The Prostate Center provides individualized education and support through all phases of care.
