SIU Breast Cancer Support Group
This support group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month. It provides an opportunity for women and men to share their experiences and knowledge and hear from guest speakers. The Breast Center believes that knowledge is power and women and men who know about what is happening to their bodies and how what they do has an effect on that feel more in control. That an attitude of health and gaining knowledge to achieve that health will become stronger from the experience of breast cancer rather than a victim of the disease. You may contact the SIU Breast Center at 545-7432 if you have questions or to RSVP.
SIU Lung Cancer Support Group
Cancer patients and family members find a relaxed atmosphere in which to share feelings, stories and knowledge about cancer. You are invited - whether you are a newly diagnosed patient or have been dealing with the disease for a long time. Refreshments are served at each meeting. The Thoracic Oncology Program at SIU (TOPS) sponsors the one-hour meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. You may contact Shari Hill, RN, BSN, MSN, Lung Cancer Coordinator at 1-888-SIU-LUNG if you have any questions or to RSVP.
