
SimmonsCooper Cancer Institute at SIU Membership
FULL MEMBER
1) SIU faculty member whose clinical and/or research activities comprise more than 50% effort on clinical or research cancer activity .
2) SIU faculty member who has a prominent leadership role in the Cancer Institute: Director, Associate Director, Program Leader, Core leader
3) SIU faculty member who is a principal investigator on a cancer clinical research protocol or basic research grant initiated at SIU.
Benefits:
> Access to all program and core activities of the Cancer Institute. Core services will be provided at a discounted rate. At the discretion of the Cancer Institute’s Director and in circumstances that will clearly advance the objectives of the Cancer Institute, those services could be provided for free.
> Eligible for Cancer Institute discretionary funds
>Eligible to compete for Cancer Institute pilot research awards
> Eligible to receive all Cancer Institute related reports including annual report, newsletters and web page access.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER
1) SIU faculty with less than 50% effort on clinical or research cancer activity
2) SIU faculty who provides support to Cancer Institute programs, cores and other Cancer Institute related activities and who is not necessarily a clinical or basic research cancer specialist.
Benefits:
> Access to all program and core activities. Core services will be provided at a discounted rate.
> Eligible to compete for Cancer Institute pilot research awards
> Eligible to receive all Cancer Institute related reports including annual report, newsletters and web page access.
AFFILIATE MEMBER
1) Non-SIU physician or basic scientist who participates in and supports the activities of the Cancer Institute such as multidisciplinary clinics, tumor boards, grand rounds, symposiums, outreach, clinical and/or basic research.
2) Post-doctorate students, residents and graduate students who engage in cancer research.
3) Medical students.
Benefits:
> Access to all program and core activities. Core services will be provided at a full rate.
> Eligible to receive all Cancer Institute related reports including annual report, newsletters and web page access.
ALLIED HEALTH MEMBER
1) Non-faculty nurses and other care providers focused in cancer management.

> Eligible to receive all Cancer Institute related reports including annual report, newsletters and web page access.
