Community Clinical Oncology Program
The National Cancer Institute created the Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) in 1983 as a way for community physicians to participate in clinical trials. This program allows for easier access to clinical trials for patients. There are currently 61 major research centers in 34 states that participate in the CCOP.
