THE ART OF COOKING MEETS THE SCIENCE OF MEDICINE
SIU has launched an exciting new culinary medicine initiative with LLCC Culinary Institute to ultimately improve the wellness of healthcare professionals and the patients we serve through hands-on cooking skills and nutrition education.
As part of this initiative, we're offering some CME/CEU activities appropriate for any healthcare professional.
In this session, we will explore the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet.

At the conclusion of this activity, participates will be able to:
- Apply basic nutrition knowledge to the practice of medicine.
- Appropriately counsel patients regarding nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
- Describe the relationship between food and health.
This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Nurses may receive a maximum of 3.0 contact hours for completing this activity.
