Item Drive for Ronald McDonald House

The Civil Service Council is collecting items for the Ronald McDonald House, the restful, cost-free residence located in the heart of Springfield’s medical community. It has provided more than 10,000 families with a “home away from home” while their children are receiving medical treatment. 

Desired items include:

  • Disposable crockpot liners
  • Ketchup
  • Glade or Renuzits Pop-Up Air-Fresheners
  • Chocolate frosting
  • Hefty/Ziplock snack-sized baggies
  • Full white sheet sets
  • Febreze Air Effects/Air Fresheners
  • Booster seats



Kitchen Items

  • 2 qt. and 6 qt. Cambro food containers
  • Food prep gloves
  • Plastic cups with lids
  • Styrofoam coffee cups with lids
  • SOS pads
  • Magic Erasers

Laundry Items

  • Stain removers

Cleaning Supplies

  • 4-gallon trash bags
  • Kitchen-sized trash bags
  • Pledge
  • Mr. Clean Multi-Purpose Cleaner
  • Stainless steel cleaner
  • Oreck vacuum bags (XL Upright & Miele)


  • Latex gloves
  • Stick deodorant
  • Shaving cream (travel-sized)
  • Gift cards (for gas stations, Walmart, Target and various local restaurants)

The community project runs through July 3.  Donations can be made in blue Enos bins around campus or at the following locations.
