Dr. Junker was residency director then program director at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program in Wilmington, North Carolina for 10 years before coming to SIU in December of 2006.  Prior to that she was faculty then program director of the Duke / SRAHEC Family Medicine Residency in Fayetteville, North Carolina for five years.  Dr. Junker has spent her entire career in academic Family Medicine and has taught residents and students.  She has also published several FPINs in collaboration with Family Medicine residents.  Dr. Junker's interest is in curriculum design and practice management.
