Clinical Instructor in Behavioral Science
Dennis began coordinating the behavioral science curriculum for Decatur Family Medicine Residency Program in October of 2007. After working as a medical social worker at Carle Foundation Hospital and Clinic, Dennis spent 20 years supervising and developing counseling programs throughout central Illinois. As an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Dennis trained master’s level interns and licensed counselors in family therapy and mental health counseling. In 2002 he was recognized as Social Worker of the Year for the Springfield area by the National Association of Social Work.
