SIU School of Medicine

Family Medicine Sub-Intership

Family Medicine taught by Family Physicians. A busy rotation where you'll participate on the Family Medicine Inpatient Service including taking call with the residents and seeing patients in the family medicine center under faculty supervision.

Key Benefits.

- Hands on patient care experience in office and hospital
- Get to know our program, residents, and faculty on a personal basis
- OB experience

Community Radiology

This rotation is done at Decatur Memorial Hospital with practicing community radiologists. This is an outstanding boost to the basic medical school curriculum in preparation for any and all of your other clerkships. This is an excellent way to "bone up" for that impending first call night in your internship year no matter in which area of medicine you plan to do your residency!!

You will join us for noon conferences at the Family Medicine Center on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the rotation.

Key Benefits.

- Excellent no nonsense teaching by community radiologists
- Lots of useful plain film radiology to review
- A great way to strengthen a weak component of many medical school curricula

Please contact our residency program secretaries for available time periods and further information.
