The Academy for Scholarship in Education, co-sponsored with Pediatric's is offering a half day workshop from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm in the SCLP Conference Room at 825 N. Rutledge, Rm 3690. Lunch will be provided. Presentation will be given by Dr. Gregory Northcraft, Professor of Business Administration and Harry J. Gray Professor of Executive Leadership at UIUC on the topic of "Negotiation and Conflict Management". Due to high attendance demands, registration is closed. Presentation will be audibly recorded and made available at a later date.

First presentation will take place at 8:00 am in the Telehealth Conference Room/1252 at 913 N. Rutledge with VC to Lindegren 310. The topic is "Principles of E-Learning: Better Design for E-Instruction". The second presentation will take place at noon in the Dirksen Conference Room at 801 N. Rutledge, 4th Floor in the 801 Building with VC connection to Wheeler 104. The topic is "Cognitive Perspective On How People Learn".

Colleen Seifert, PhD, Professor in the Department of Psychology and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Information, University of Michigan presented for the Academy for Scholarship in Education. Dr. Seifert reported on Dr. Timothy Koschmann's "Competency Project" grant.  Timothy Koschmann, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor for the Department of Medical Education. Louis Pangaro, MD, FACP, COL (ret.) MC USA ,Professor of Medicine, Vice-chairman for Educational Programs at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda MD presented "Evaluating Learners using RIME", on behalf of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds. The Academy sponsored Dr. Pangaro's presentation pertaining to students learning in the health care system later the same day. Download of Dr. Pangaro's Academy presentation is now available.
