The Department of Medical Education's Journal Club provides people with an interest in medical education an opportunity to meet and discuss journal articles of importance to the field of medical education. Each month, generally the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in the Lincoln Conference Room, a member of the Department of Education will select an article for presentation. Members of the journal club not only include faculty, but those in adjunction and cross assignments are also included. The meetings are not limited to members, anyone interested may participate.
The presenter will give an overview of the article, and then the rest of the meeting will focus on discussion of the article. Members discuss such things as weaknesses and strengths, implementations for the practice of medical education and extensions of the ideas.
