The Clinical Ethics Center of Memorial Health System is now accepting applications for our 2 year post doctorate fellowship in clinical ethics. Fellows will be integrally involved in the activities of the center, including: ethics consultation, education of clinical staff as well as medical students, residents, and fellows at SIU School of Medicine, health policy review and development, empirical research in clinical ethics, participation in SAGE our regional ethics network and community outreach. This is an excellent opportunity for a person interested in clinical ethics to get experience in a busy and vibrant clinical ethics center. Eligibility: Applicants should have a terminal degree by the time of appointment. Education and/or training in ethics is a must. Experience or training in empirical research methods/grant preparation is a plus. Fellows will be selected based, in part, on the applicant’s ability to meet the current needs of the center. Stipend: $40,000. Applications will be reviewed as they are received with an anticipated start date of late spring 2009. Memorial Medical Center is a tertiary care, and academic affiliated community hospital located in the Illinois state capital. Center faculty also serve as adjunct faculty in the Medical Humanities Program at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
