The Office of External and Health Affairs focuses on building relationships between SIU School of Medicine and external agencies, organizations, communities, and the public to further the School’s mission of teaching, research, patient care and service to the community.

The Office is a primary point of contact for our graduates, physicians in practice and the community at large. Specific areas of responsibility include alumni affairs, continuing medical education, fund raising, media production, media relations, regional medical programs, rural health and telehealth.

The Office serves as a liaison for the School of Medicine in matters of institutional advancement, community outreach and governmental relations.
