Administrative Office

The administrative office provides overall direction and coordination of the units within the Office of External and Health Affairs. Core functions of the administrative office include:

  • Develop and manage state and federal agency relations
  • Stimulate regional medical programs
  • Oversee Rural Health Initiative activities
  • Monitor legislation
  • Develop special projects
  • Serve as liaison to the Mid-Illinois Medical District
  • Manage financial systems for units and special projects

Dr. Davis administers the various units that make up External and Health Affairs and provides overall direction for its central Offices. He serves as the School’s principle liaison with local, state, and federal entities and manages many of the inter-agency relationships between the school and its community partners.

Ms. Dennis is responsible for overseeing the business operations of the office and its units. This includes the management of funds, coordinates administrative functions and supervises office support positions.

Executive Director of Regional Medical Programs

Mr. Wesley’s major responsibilities include developing and maintaining healthcare partnerships in the School of Medicine’s service area; conducting health systems research; monitoring legislation, as proposed by the Illinois General Assembly, of interest to the School of Medicine; and, administering the Rural Health Initiative.

Joshua Sarver
Assistant Director of Regional Medical Programs

Mr. Sarver's responsibilities include assisting with regional health planning throughout the School's service area; analysis of legislative and regulatory changes to determine the impact on the School's programs and partners; and assist with the interdepartmental efforts that expand the School's programs in rural health, regional service and clinical expansion into rural health areas.

Ms. Williams assists and provides administrative support to the Associate Provost, Executive Director of Regional Medical Programs, Assistant Director of Regional Medical Programs and the Administrative Business Associate. She coordinates schedules and assists medical students enrolled in Dr. Davis' electives.
