The Community Service Committee (CSC) develops, recommends, and/or advises regarding policy, guidelines, practice, and objectives relevant to community service at SIU School of Medicine. The CSC provides input and counsel to other School units responsible for community service activities and projects. The CSC works with community leaders and organizations in assessing and addressing the community's needs for community service programs.

Exercise For A Good Cause

The Junaia Carter MD 5k will be held Saturday, April 27, in Washington Park, Springfield. The run is organized by a committee of SIU medical students in honor of the late Dr. Junaia Carter, Class of 2010. Register online at www.getmeregistered.com/ama5k or register at the event at 7:30 am; race starts at 8:30 am.
