Sunday, November 19, 2017 - 10:00am

Description

Terry Jones, MD, '81,  and his daughter Emily Jones, MSII, will complete their 9-year quest of finishing a marathon (26.2 miles or longer) in all 50 states. They have decided to mark this occasion by raising funds for Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU School of Medicine.

Your contributions assist in the advancement of cancer treatment research, while raising awareness of SIU School of Medicine's impact in central and southern Illinois.

Terry and Emily have dedicated the completion of their journey to those they have lost along the way, those who have lost their battle with cancer, and those who can no longer pursue their own quests. They will be running in memory of Debbie Jones-Morzuch (Terry's sister) and Dr. William Halford, Emily's microbiology professor and small group leader at SIU School of Medicine.
