The Mission of SIU Foundation
The mission of the SIU Foundation is to maximize private support for Southern Illinois University Carbondale, including the School of Medicine, to assist the University in achieving its long range goal of becoming a top 75 public research institution.

Our mission is to stimulate an understanding of the mission and accomplishments of the School of Medicine among its constituencies and to encourage involvement and attract philanthropic support essential for the school’s advancement.
