The Mission of SIU Foundation
The mission of the SIU Foundation is to maximize private support for Southern Illinois University Carbondale, including the School of Medicine, to assist the University in achieving its long range goal of becoming a top 75 public research institution.

The mission of the SIU School of Medicine is to assist the people of central and southern Illinois in meeting their health care needs through education, patient care, research, and service to the community.
