About

Dr. Michael H. Kim is a nationally recognized cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist known for his expertise in cardiovascular outcomes and arrhythmias.  Prior to joining SIU, he was a Professor of Medicine at Brown University and served as the Director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service and the Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program.  Much of his career was spent at Northwestern University where he was an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.  He is on the editorial board of two major Cardiology journals, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.  He has authored 190 manuscripts and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals.  At SIU, he is currently developing the new Cardiology Fellowship Training Program.
