Best Evidence Topics (BETS) were developed for emergency medicine to provide rapid evidence-based answers to real-life clinical questions, using a systematic approach to reviewing the literature.

Cochrane Library
The Cochrane Library consists of a regularly updated collection of evidence-based medicine databases. The databases include :

  • The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (Cochrane Reviews)

Essential Evidence Plus

PubMed MEDLINE
MEDLINE is the premiere biomedical database produced by the National Library of Medicine. Use PubMed's Clinical Queries to focus searches on questions of therapy, diagnosis, etiology or prognosis by looking for the highest levels of evidence in the literature.

TRIP
Categories of content include evidence-based and guidelines. Evidence-based content includes systematic reviews, CATs, and journal clubs. Non subscribers are currently restricted to 5 free searches per week.

ACP Journal Club
A bimonthly journal from the American College of Physicians. Biomedical literature articles that report original studies and systematic reviews are selected from over 100 journals and then summarized in the form of "structured abstracts."
