PubMed Interface Has a New Look & Features

PubMed has released a new interface. The database remains the same, but search features have been moved to different locations and, in some cases, enhanced. (full story)

Doctors as Authors

Here are three books in a series written by a doctor from Northern Ireland, who practiced medicine in Canada for 31 years. The author, Dr. Taylor, writes in an author’s note: “By today’s standards, medicine was in its infancy (in the 1960s), and much depended on the clinical skills of the Doctor O’Reillys. They practiced a very different brand of medicine on real people, whose feelings and lives were as important as the diseases that afflicted them.” These books were a gift to the Medical Library.
