Center for Disease Control and Prevention - Includes disease and health information, statistics, travelers health information and CDC publication links.

Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) - CDER is an FDA agency. Includes drug news, new and generic drug approvals, consumer drug information and a database of adverse drug reactions. Some documents are in PDF format requiring Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

ClinicalTrials.gov - Launched by NIH, ClinicalTrials.gov provides patients and member of the public easy access to information about the location of clinical trials, their design and purpose, criteria for participation and additional disease and treatment information.

Code of Federal Regulations - The Code of Federal Regulations is a codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government. Allows searching by keywords or by citation.

FDA Drug Approvals List - The FDA Drug Approvals list is updated weekly as a service by CDER's Division of Data Management and Services. The Drug approvals on this list are verified and published as they become available and at any given time may not contain all FDA drug approvals.

Federal Register - The Federal Register is the official daily publication for Rules, Proposed Rules, and Notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as Executive Orders and other Presidential Documents.

FEDSTATS - More than 70 agencies in the United States Federal Government produce statistics of interest to the public. The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by these agencies for public use.

Food and Drug Administration - Includes information on drug evaluation and regulation, food safety, medical devices, cosmetics and toxicology research.

GovEngine.com - Comprehensive directory of Official Federal, State, and Local Government and Court links.

Gov.com - This site isa gateway to authoritative selected science information provided by U.S. Government agencies, including research and development results.

GPO Access - Provides free electronic access to a wealth of important information products produced by the Federal Government. The information provided on this site is the official, published version.

Healthfinder - Government gateway Web site for health information. Healthfinder(r) brings under one umbrella the vast health information resources of the federal government and its many partners.

IRS Digital Daily - Internal Revenue Service home page includes income tax forms, instructions, publications, and regulations.

National Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine - A new Institute in NIH providing information on complimentary and alternative medicine.

National Center for Health Statistics - Information from the Nation's principal health statistics agency.

National Guidelines Clearinghouse - A resource for up-to-date evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. It was developed by the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR), in partnership with the American Medical Association and the American Association of Health Plans.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) - Includes information on NIH grants, health resources, databases, press releases, etc.

National Library of Medicine (NLM) - Resources of the world's largest biomedical library including links to databases, research programs, NLM publications, and images from the History of Medicine.

NLM MeSH Browser - An online vocabulary look-up aid available for use with MeSH® (Medical Subject Headings). It is designed to help quickly locate descriptors of possible interest and to show the hierarchy in which descriptors of interest appear. Virtually complete MeSH records are available, including the scope notes, annotations, entry vocabulary, history notes, allowable qualifiers, etc

The National Technical Information Service - The National Technical Information Service is the official resource for government-sponsored U.S. and worldwide scientific, technical, engineering, and business-related information.

The National Women's Health Information Center - The web site is a comprehensive resource for women's health links to all federal agencies and publications on women's health, and to hundreds of government- screened private sector organizations. NWHIC also provides FAQs (frequently asked questions) on top health issues of concern to American women.

Nursing Home Compare - The primary purpose of this tool from the government's Medicare web site is to provide detailed information about the past performance of every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in the country. Nursing Home Compare contains detailed information on quality measures, inspection result information, and nursing home staff information.

Occupational Outlook Handbook - Highlights of the job outlook for the year 2005, job search methods, and tips on applying for a job and evaluating a job offer are included.

PubMed Central - PubMed Central is a digital archive of life sciences journal literature providing full text access to scholarly peer-reviewed articles.

State and Local Government on the Net Directory - Provides convenient one-stop access to the websites of thousands of state agencies and city and county governments. Only pages that are controlled and managed by state and local government agencies are included.

United States Census Bureau - Social, economic, and demographic information. Lets you extract census infomation and to create maps on the fly.

U.S. Patent and Trademark Offiice - This page is the starting point for the USPTO's free patent databases. These include both the US Patent Bibliographic Database (a freely searchable database of front page information from US patents issued from 1/1/76 to the present), and Trademark Database(a freely searchable database text and images ).
