MEDICAL HUMANITIES IN YEAR 4

Medical Humanities Clerkship: Doctoring Year 4

In a two-week doctoring clerkship during Year 4, emphasis is placed on the physician's role in the administration of justice as well as current health policy issues including access to and availability of health care -- particularly in rural and underserved communities -- health care economics and financing, responsibility and accountability of physicians, assessing quality in health care, clinical decision-making, and clinical, ethical, legal and policy issues in managed care. Year 4 Electives

Forty widely diverse, educational, and interesting electives are currently being offered to fourth-year medical students who want to increase their knowledge of humanities in medicine.
