Academic Interests

Dr. Godwin is a national principal investigator in clinical trials in acute myeloid leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He is a principal investigator in several clinical trials sponsored at SIU and CICCOP.

Dr. Godwin is also working with development of cancer care delivery and support models in our team approach to cancer care. He is involved with national research on Cancer Control including Symptom Control and Quality of Life, Cancer Survivors, health disparities, and Molecular Epidemiology of Cancer.

 
Clinical Interests

Specializes in acute and chronic leukemias, lymphoma, myeloproliferative diseases, myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), bleeding and clotting disorders, head and neck, and Lung cancer. Dr. Godwin sees patients with our multidisciplinary Head and Neck, and Lung, and Breast cancer care teams, as well as in our adult Hematology/Oncology clinic. He specializes in Phase II and III clinical trials in cancer.
