
Mei Chris Huang, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and SIU Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Huang completed her medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Huang is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She is an associate member of the American College of Physicians and a member of both the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Huang specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the esophagus, stomach and small and large intestines, promoting colorectal cancer screening and the mechanisms of intestinal inflammation.
