Romesh Khardori, M.D. is a Professor with the Department of Internal Medicine and Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and SIU Physicians & Surgeons. Dr. Khardori is an internist and specializes in pituitary/growth/pubertal development disorders, diabetes and diabetic pregnancy, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders and dyslipidemia.

Dr. Khardori completed his medical degree and an internship at the Government Medical College in Sringar, India. He then served as senior resident and instructor in internal medicine and endocrinology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi and was awarded his doctorate degree in medicine.

In 1979, Dr. Khardori completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Oregon Health Science Center in Portland. He then moved to Boston, Massachusetts to train in diabetes and endocrinology at the Joslin Clinic at the Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Khardori has received numerous awards and honors throughout his distinguished career. He is a member of many professional societies including the American Medical Association, the American Diabetes Association, the American Federation for Clinical Research and the Endocrine Society.

Dr. Khardori is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and endocrinology and metabolism.
