Resident Information
EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE
During this month the resident will gain experience in evaluating patients with cardiovascular problems. This is an opportunity for the resident to improve his or her skills in history taking, physical examination and clinical assessment.
The resident will be exposed to the use of the treadmill stress test, nuclear stress testing, echocardiography, electrocardiography, hemodynamic measurements and angiography in the care of cardiac patients.
The resident will gain some understanding of the role of interventional cardiology in the management of patients with coronary artery disease and complex cardiovascular disease.

The resident will be exposed as an observer to the use of the treadmill stress test, nuclear stress testing, echocardiography, electrocardiography, hemodynamic measurements and angiography in the care of cardiac patients.
The resident will also be encouraged to participate in the educational conferences, undertake research projects, and present at conferences.
