Components

The clerkship consists of:

  • 1 week of orientation, various seminars and teaching sessions
  • 4 weeks of inpatient wards
  • 2 weeks of subspecialty preceptorships:

    Allergy/Immunology
    Cardiology
    Capital Community Health Center (CCHC)
    Dermatology
    Endocrinology
    Gastroenterology
    Hematology/Oncology
    Infectious Diseases
    Pulmonary
    Nephrology
    Rheumatology

  • 2 weeks of General Internal Medicine Ambulatory Block which includes working in the Anti-coagulation Clinic, Lipid Clinic, STD Clinic, Stress/PFT testing and working with dietitian and visiting nurses
  • Week 10 activities
