Chief of Hematology/Oncology division
The Department of Internal Medicine and the Simmons Cancer Institute (SCI) at Southern Illinois University have a full-time faculty position available at the Professor/Associate Professor rank. As Chief Medical Officer of the SCI the candidate will lead the development and implementation of clinical quality programs for the care of patients with the types of cancers most commonly seen at the SCI. As Chief of the Hematology/Oncology Division the qualified individual will provide clinical, education and research leadership to the division of Hematology/Oncology and disease specific multidisciplinary programs. Eligible candidate should be board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. Five years experience including development and implementation of translational clinical trials is preferred. Candidate should have excellent clinical skills and ability to work well with others. Selected candidate will be provided laboratory space and appropriate start up funds. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Production based clinical compensation offers salary competitive with private practice.
