Faculty Position

The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Internal Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Springfield, Illinois, is seeking a full time faculty member at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine. The Division is a highly productive academic unit with equal emphasis on clinical service, teaching and research.

The Division has an ID Fellowship program and is actively running clinical and basic science research with a clinical researcher and two active research labs. Clinical service includes inpatient consultative service and an outpatient ID clinic. Comprehensive benefits package and a competitive compensation package are offered.

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduate of accredited medical school program; Board Certified in Internal Medicine; Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious Diseases; and licensure in the State of Illinois or eligible for such.  Prior research training and experience is preferred. This position has been designated as security sensitive and employment is contingent upon the results of a background investigation.
