What is Hematology/Oncology?

Serving the downstate Illinois community, the Division of Hematology/Oncology at SIU School of Medicine provides comprehensive care to patients for cancer and blood disorders. We provide a multidisciplinary team approach to cancer care to coordinate the best treatment options for patients. We have nationally known academic faculty seeing patients in a state-of the-art facility with a patient friendly environment. We offer a comprehensive list of National Cancer Institute (NCI) registered clinical trials for the treatment, prevention and supportive care of cancer patients as well as new treatment options for patients at all stages of disease.
