    About the Psychiatry Residency Program

    Ambulatory Clinics

Five-year continuity clinics in both medicine and psychiatry are required.

For the first three years, each specialty has a continuity of care clinic one half day per week. Both clinics provide the resident with the experience of providing high quality care within HMO and managed care companies, as well as traditional fee-for-service models of care.

During the fourth and fifth year of residency, your continuity of care clinic will switch to a medicine-psychiatry clinic, under the supervision of an internist-psychiatrist.  You will be exposed to the management aspects of clinic operations.  In addition, you will receive quarterly feedback on the economic factors in your continuity clinic.  A Continuous Quality Feedback process is encouraged during this critical time of your training.
