    Gwyneth Thompson, MD, is an Assistant Professor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at SIU School of Medicine.

    Dr. Thompson went to medical school at Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. Following this, Dr. Thompson completed her Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at University of Chicago. Dr. Thompson is currently board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her areas of clinical interests are primarily focused on pre-term birth prevention, cervical competency, critical care obstetrics, and maternal medical complications of pregnancy.

    Dr. Thompson is a member of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Central Association of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
