Health care professionals are invited to join SIU Medicine's Center for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders' Annual Memory Conference, generously supported by the King's Daughters Organization.

Topics include:

  • An updated understanding of dementia
  • Brain changes that occur
  • Care partnering techniques
  • Reducing distress, encouraging acceptance of help and improving outcomes for people living with dementia as well as their caregivers
  • "Normal" aging versus "not normal" aging and memory loss

Then at 4:30 pm on Friday, Oct. 5, join the Center for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders as it celebrate a new partnership with Memorial Medical Center. Learn how families throughout Illinois will benefit, enjoy light hors d'oeuvres and cocktails and hear from SIU Medicine and state leaders.
