December 23, 2005 SIU Call Center (217-545-8000) Dr. Edward J. Alfrey Alfrey recently completed a master’s degree in health care management from Harvard University in Boston, Mass. (2005). He served a two-year fellowship in liver, pancreas, and kidney transplantation at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. (1990). Alfrey completed his residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson (1989). He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder (1984) and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver (1976). Alfrey is board certified in general surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Transplantation, American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and American Association of Immunologists. Alfrey has published numerous articles and book chapters and has multiple research interests including liver transplant immunology, renal physiology and clinical outcomes. - 30 - |
