Dr. Devin Amin has joined the faculty at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as assistant professor of neurosurgery. He has special training and experience in endoscopic pituitary and skull base surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery.
Prior to joining SIU, Amin completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery (2010). He earned his medical scientist training degree from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University (2003). He has completed both a doctorate in biomedical engineering and bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (2001, 1996).
His professional affiliations include the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the National Association of Skull Base Surgeons.
Amin has multiple research interests including surgical robotics and image guided neurosurgery.
