December 17, 2003 SIU Call Center (217-545-8000) Brent M. Bany, Ph.D., has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Carbondale as an assistant professor in physiology. He has recently completed a two-year term as a Canadian Institutes for Health Research postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary under the supervision of James Cross, Ph.D., an internationally known developmental biologist. Bany earned his doctoral degree at the University of Western Ontario in London (1997) and his master's and bachelor's degrees at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon (1992, 1988). He has published more than 35 papers or abstracts on his research interest on the biology of embryonic implantation. He is a member of the Society for the Study of Reproduction Endocrine Society and American Physiology Society. Bany is married and has one daughter. |
