Dr. Carol A. Bauer Dr. Carol Bauer portrait has joined the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of surgery. (Note: She has since be promoted to associate professor.)

Recently, Bauer completed a one-year fellowship in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine (1994-95). She earned her bachelor's degree at Grinnell College, Grinnell, lowa (1980) and her medical degree at the University of lowa College of Medicine (1989). She completed her residency in otolaryngology at the University of lowa Hospitals and Clinics (1994).

She is certified as a diplomate in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology.

A native of Bayshore, New York, Bauer is married to Thomas J. Brozoski, Ph.D.
